Girl Scouts

Calling all Girl Scouts! Join Hillwood to earn badges at our Girl Scout Workshop Weekend events this fall.


Badge-Earning Programs (onsite)

  • $130 for up to 10 Girl Scouts + 4 adults
  • $13 per each additional Girl Scout; maximum group size: 15 Girl Scouts, 4 adults
  • Up to 4 chaperones per group; additional adults may pay Hillwood's suggested donation ($20) and are welcome to explore Hillwood on their own
  • Dates and time: Tuesday-Sunday, 10-11:30 a.m. or 2:30-4 p.m., subject to availability

Weekend dates are fully booked through the end of June 2025. Weekday program times, Tues-Fri, and summer program dates are available upon request. Fall 2025 dates will be posted in August.

 

Please complete the Girl Scout Program Request Form to request a date for your troop's visit.

In Fabergé’s Workshop: Craft and Tinker Badge (available June-September and November-March)

Explore sumptuous jewelry and fanciful objects including those created by imperial Russia's legendary jeweler, Peter Carl Fabergé, and design your own magnificent jeweled creations. This program meets all requirements to earn the Craft and Tinker badge for Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts.

Garden Journeys: Gardener Badge (available March-November)

Discover the beauty, tranquility, and whimsy of the Japanese-style garden and French parterre and design your own dream garden.

Meets the following requirements to earn the Junior Gardener Badge:
•    Step 1: Visit a garden
•    Step 2: Explore garden design
•    Step 3: Learn how to choose garden plants

Bridging Ceremonies (onsite)

The half-moon bridges in the Japanese-style garden are a beautiful setting for bridging ceremonies.

  • $50 for groups of up to 20 visitors
  • $3 per additional visitor (up to max. of 35 visitors, total group size)
  • Group size: 35 visitors maximum
  • Dates and times: Tuesday-Sunday, March-November, 10-11 a.m. or 3-4 p.m., subject to availability
  • To request holding a bridging ceremony at Hillwood, please complete the Girl Scout Program Request Form
