Mansion Tours
Marjorie Post purchased Hillwood with the intent to leave it as a museum that would inspire and educate the public. Guided mansion tours led by our trained volunteer docents treat visitors to additional information and viewpoints about Post, her rich collections, and how they are experienced today very much as they were in Post’s time.
Mansion Tours
Mansion tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to docent availability.
Tours are scheduled for 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with an additional tour at 3:30 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Each tour is approximately one hour long. Please inquire at the visitor center regarding tour availability the day of your visit.
Due to high visitation, mansion tours will be unavailable on the following dates:
- October 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- November 29, 30
- December 1, 26, 27, 28, 29
Mansion tours are included in the suggested donation and can be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis in the visitor center upon opening each day.
