Girl Scout Outdoor Art Badge Workshop

Calling all Girl Scouts! Earn your Girl Scouts Outdoor Art badge with art-making inspired by Hillwood's spectacular gardens.

Girl Scouts hold their pressed flower suncatchers up to a window so the sunlight shines through their artwork.

See outdoor artwork and explore nature as you stroll Hillwood's grounds at your own pace, using an activity booklet that leads you on a self-guided adventure to discover blooming flowers, lush gardens, and natural woodlands.

Meet botanical artist RJ Lucas and learn how she gets inspiration from the outdoors for her art.

Then take inspiration from the colors, shapes, and patterns you find at Hillwood to create your own nature-inspired art -- a pressed flower suncatcher to take home!

This program fulfills all requirements to earn the Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Outdoor Art badges.

Reservations are recommended due to limited capacity.

Hillwood is a Premier Program Partner of the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital.
