Divas Outdoors presents Bye Bye Birdie

Put on a happy face as we send teen idol Conrad Birdie off in infectiously cheerful style while you sip beer, wine, or champagne from Merriweather Café.

We love your picnics, oh yes we do!
Come early and set out your elaborate picnic spread.

Pour your energy into planning your fabulous props and costumes, knowing that we'll pour the drinks when you arrive!  Choose a special champagne cocktail, frozen beverages (alcoholic and non), beer, wine, or champagne to go with your feast, or pick up a sandwich from Merriweather To Go!

Our judges are charmed by:

  • Themes and connections to the film,
  • Period-inspired dress and character look-alikes,
  • Dance or musical performances,
  • Black and white spreads inspired by Mid-Century Master: The Photography of Alfred Eisenstaedt, and
  • Props, including tablecloths, flameless candelabras, serving dishes, baskets, centerpieces, and classic movie snacks.

The winner will receive an annual membership to Hillwood, bragging rights, and the envy and admiration of your fellow film-goers.
