Virtual Floral Design | Floral Crown

Virtual Floral Workshop Screenshot

Celebrate the season with a fun floral creation! Adorn your summer attire with a wearable wreath crafted of seasonal roses, zinnias, and more.

As the crown will be made with fresh flowers, the piece will remain at its ideal freshness for about one or two days.

Ami Wilber helps you create a beautiful creation with step-by-step guidance and plenty of time to ask questions. Supplies are not included, but a materials list is included below, should participants wish to follow along at home:

  • Blooms and Greenery:
    • 5 stems barista roses 
    • 5 stems Creta Cream tea roses
    • 3 stems Loli garden tea roses 
    • 2 stems Italian Ruscus 
    • 2 stems jasmine vine 
    • 3-5 stems celosia pampas plume (apricot or light pink)
    • 5 stems zinnias (queen lime red)
  • Other Materials:
    • 1 spool 22 gauge floral wire 
    • 1 spool light green floral tape 
    • 1 yard ribbon

CONNECTING WITH ZOOM

This virtual workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. and is presented live via Zoom. Participants are encouraged to share their arrangements when complete via video; questions can be submitted via the chat feature. Please note that this workshop will be recorded.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR 

Ami Wilber became the floral and event décor designer at Hillwood in November 2016. Ami has over twenty-five years of experience as a floral designer. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Miami University of Ohio and a Master of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology, School for American Crafts. Prior to joining Hillwood, Ami created sculptures and exhibited her installations at galleries and public spaces in Washington, D.C.
