Earth Day

Meet members of Hillwood’s Environmental Action Team (HEAT) and learn about environmental stewardship initiatives vital to Hillwood, our community, and the world around us.

Sustainability at Hillwood addresses everything from the reduction of energy and paper usage to ecological horticulture practices and using native plants. Hillwood staff will share tips on what you can do at home to support the environment and will be giving away free native plants (while supply lasts).

Bring your own mug to the Merriweather Café to to receive a free coffee. While there, check out other event-related offerings.

Stop by the museum shop for Earth Day specials.

Join two specialty talks during the event to round out the day. Tickets are distributed at the Ellen MacNeille Charles Visitor Center upon opening. Each thirty-minute tour is limited to twenty and meets in the visitor center conservatory.
