Virtual Floral Design | Welcome Spring

As the first signs of springtime come into focus, we all look forward to what is coming into bloom. Welcome spring into your home with a glorious arrangement of tulips, daffodils, blooming branches, and other beauties of the season.

Ami Wilber helps you create a beautiful arrangement with step-by-step guidance and plenty of time to ask questions. Supplies are not included, but a materials list is included below, should participants wish to follow along at home:

  • Blooms:
    • Hyacinth, 1 bunch
    • Pittosporum, 1 bunch
    • Blooming branches, 1 bunch
    • Tulips, 2 bunches (different colors)

The colors of the flowers can be whatever is available and your personal preference!

  • Other Materials:
    • Chicken wire, 6"x15"
    • Floral tape
    • Floral sheers
    • Glass vase, H 11.5" x W 4.5"

CONNECTING WITH ZOOM

This virtual workshop begins at 1:30 p.m. and is presented live via Zoom. Participants are encouraged to share their arrangements when complete via video; questions can be submitted via the chat feature. Please note that this workshop will be recorded.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR 

Ami Wilber became the floral and event décor designer at Hillwood in November 2016. Ami has over twenty-five years of experience as a floral designer. She received a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Miami University of Ohio and a Master of Fine Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology, School for American Crafts. Prior to joining Hillwood, Ami created sculptures and exhibited her installations at galleries and public spaces in Washington, D.C.
