Nuit de la Mode
Guests are invited to dress in their most fabulous patterns and pleats for a night saturated with the sumptuous gowns of Prêt-à-Papier and the creative paper art activities they inspire. Building on the crumpled couture of de Borchgrave and her passion for inspiring creativity, local artists Stella Bonds and Dennis Roche of Roche Salon will costume and coif models for an artful Living Exhibition starting at 8:30 p.m.
Throughout the night, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the enchanting gardens, explore the impeccable French and Russian decorative art that fills Marjorie Merriweather Post’s former Mansion, view Prêt-à-Papier, or try their hands at their own paper fashion by crafting paper shoes in the style of de Borchgrave with colorful ribbons and gems. A night of art and paper wouldn’t be complete without the art of origami, led by the Japan Information and Cultural Center. Mosaic Cuisine & Café will provide tastes of sweet and savory Belgian style waffles. Guests can also purchase international delights at the Belgian beer garden.

Guests with VIP access will enjoy exclusive access to Hillwood from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Complete with a red carpet welcome, VIP attendees will enjoy a private viewing of Prêt-à-Papier and a private reception with a complimentary glass of champagne and white wine.
