Visitor Services Associate (Part-Time)

About the Job: 
As a member of our Visitor Services team, you will be deeply involved in the mission of Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. We welcome over 100,000 visitors a year, this role is often the first impression visitors have of Hillwood. This role is primarily responsible for managing all front desk interactions, which includes providing a warm welcome to visitors, completing all ticketing transactions, entering visitor information in our database (tessitura), selling memberships, and providing a high-level overview of Hillwood. The Visitor Services Associate role also provides customer service in our back office by responding to phone inquiries and emails. Each member of the visitor services team also has special projects which pertain to various finical and attendance reporting, including opportunities to work in cross-departmental teams. Our Visitor Service Associates also work closely with Visitor Service Volunteers to ensure a fabulous experience for our visitors.

This role is located fully on our campus in NW D.C. Remote work is occasional and may be permitted a few times a year. The Visitor Services Associate works from 9:15 a.m.-5:15 p.m. Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday. This position is compensated at $20.18/hr

About You: 
You’ve been in similar roles long enough to understand the level of detail and care that goes into each visitor interaction. You have developed the customer service and interpersonal skills needed to efficiently run a front desk. You’ve had experience working in with ticketing systems or CRMs. You have demonstrated experience of communicating in fast-paced settings and with diverse audiences. You have a passion for museums and for optimizing the visitor experience.
