About this object

The screen is composed of four panels which are hinged together. The backs of the panels are painted with various scenes of cupids playing. The scenes show two cupids waving at two birds in the sky, two cupids flying over a landscape, two cupids playing with a bow and arrow, and two cupids waving a stick. The fronts of the panels have oval openings which contain photographs. Around the openings are painted clusters of roses with leaves. The hinges are silvered and engraved with flowers. The four photographs are of Joseph Davies, Dina Merrill, Adelaide Riggs, and Eleanor Barzin.
