About this object

The whole cross is carved from one piece of wood which is blackened on the front. The edge is raised and engraved with an inscription that is only partially legible. In the center is Christ on the cross with the walls of Jerusalem behind him. Above is God the Father and below an inscription which is almost illegible. Whole is worn from use.
