About this object
Gilt edge and rim border in red-brown with a reserved section for the cipher of Alexander II in gold with the Imperial crown in red and gold. In the center of the plate is the Russian Imperial eagle in black on white ground, holding the scepter and globe in gold, and a small crown on each head in gold. Above is a blue ribbon and a larger crown in red and gold. On the eagle's breast is a red-brown shield containing St. George and the Dragon in black.
