About this object

In center is a soldier on horseback in his regimental costume and shooting a pistol. On the blanket under the horse's saddle is the cipher of Nicholas I. In the distance at the left is a bugler on horseback and on the right an officer on horseback with a drawn sword. The border is a gold rim engraved alternately with the double-headed eagle and a cluster with a helmet, sword, bugle, laurel, leaves, etc.
