About this object

The ground is green, a band reserved in white at the rim of both cup and the saucer contains a ribbon with the tricolor intertwined with a garland of roses, a similar band on the bottom of the cup contains a garland of leaves and red berries, there are two medallions on the cup, one painted with the fasces and the other with a compass or triangle, two of the four medallions on the saucer are similarly decorated, a third has a ghost of a Phyrigian cap and fourth one in the center contains a cluster of pansies, all reserved in white.
