About this object

The ground is pale blue, the shape is basically an oval, at each end is a kidney-shaped panel reserved in white, one contains a cluster of military trophies and the other contains a globe labeled Africa and Arabia with a variety of measuring instruments, in gold there is a scattering of flowers on the blue ground and between the panels on the rim a band of fretwork with oeil de perdrix.
