About this object

Picture hat with slightly oval brim, wider on one side than the other, covered in oxidized lace (metallic green hue) over metal frame of same color, with two taffeta folded flowers: one 2” medium hue peach and the other 1.5” pale peach. Each flower has two green taffeta leaves connected by a continuous stem. The hat is finished around the crown with a twisted black velvet band approximately 1.5”H. On the opposite side of the hat is mounted a profusion of black ostrich feathers covering most of the crown on one side of the brim. Dropping from the inside of the crown is 5.5” dotted lace in the same oxidized type lace with rolled gray velvet “cushion” lining 1/3 of the way around the opening.
