About this object

First class. A gold cross with red glass arms between which are gold scrollwork studded with paste(?) jewels. The center obverse shows a portrait of St. Anna in color on enamel. The reverse shows the cipher of the motto A.J.P.F. entwined in blue on white ground, topped with a painted gold imperial crown. The order is suspended from a gold brooch-type hanger that is engraved (possibly a later addition). It hangs from a St. Anna ribbon, red edged with yellow.
