About this object

The pin is shaped like a dagger with its sheath. The handle and guard are in mosaic. The handle is a small circle on top of a rectangle with rounded corners. The guard is a rectangle with rounded corners with a circle on each end. These pieces are decorated with flowers and leaves on brightly colored ground. The pin is arranged so that it pierces the cloth and fits into the scabbard where it comes out. The scabbord is a plain piece of silver. There is a safety chain that attaches the two pieces.
