Earrings are for pierced ears. At the top is a gold hemisphere covered with gold filigree and rows of seed pearls. Below this is a gold butterfly shape with seed pearls on its wings. Below this is a hemisphere in gold openwork above a row of seed pearls. This rests on top of a faceted amethyst which has been identified as a button. From this hangs a small pearl.
