About this object

At the top is a circular medallion that holds the clasp at the back. This has an enamel in the center of Cupid's head and a border pave in amethysts and turquoise. From this two sections also pave in the same stones and pearls support the watch case. The watch case is five sided and is pave with pearls, amethysts and pearls. Al the front is gilded, the small dial is in white enamel with black Roman numerals. The back of the chatelaine is gilt but plain. The back of the watch case and the pedestal are engraved and gilt. The same holds for the inside of the case around the watchworks.
