The bowl of the spoon is in repousse with a milkmaid carrying two pails of milk, standing near a cow. The handle is joined to the bowl by a rosette. The handle is two intertwined strands. Near the end of the handle is a man standing. On the top of his head is a boat being sailed to the left. A man sits in the end of the boat to steer.
