About this object

Oblong-shaped with low bracket legs, the silver box is partly covered in pale blue translucent enamel over guilloche wave pattern. The beaded border is on the bottom, and geometric border is on the top. At either end, the covers for the stamp holders have interlaced swags of leaves in silver. Between these is a roller in crystal for moistening stamps. The interior is gilded. Diamond-shaped decorations with decorative indentations decorate all sides of the box. The stamp box and roller came in its Fabergé box.
