About this object

A silver medal converted into a clip by mounting it inside a frame. The medal has a portrait bust in profile facing left of King Louis XVI of France. Around the rim is an inscription "LUD.XVI.D.G.FR.ET NAV.REX.". The frame is reeded, bound with crossed ribbons at intervals, and topped with a ribbon bow.
