Who You Are:
- You are well organized with a strong detail orientation and talent for making people feel valued and heard.
- You are positive and proactive with demonstrated experience in volunteer management, relationship building, or community engagement.
- You are an excellent communicator who excels at coordinating multiple schedules, supporting diverse teams, and fostering collaborative relationships.
- You are committed to developing your professional skills through active listening, genuine curiosity, and desire to help create exceptional experiences for volunteers and visitors alike.
- You have experience or a passion for art, history and/or gardens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead scheduling and coordination for our Visitor Services Volunteers, Mansion Docents, and Garden Docents.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment through proactive communication and engagement.
- Manage and support volunteer recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain detailed records and analyze program data to drive continuous improvement.
- Work on our campus in NW DC, Saturday through Wednesday, with some evening hours for special events. After the onboarding period this role may work Mondays remotely.
