About this object

The vase is flattened and has three vertical sections. The center is almost rectangular carved with a band of old Chinese motifs around the center. The foot is rectangular with a flat shelf on whic it rests. The neck is similar to the foot in shape. It has a long dragons mask carved on each side and a pair of winged monster on each side for handles. On the cover is another monster carved in the round who crouches on four paws. The wooden base carved in openwork.
