About this object
The nephrite jade has a brownish tinge near the bottom but has a greenish cast to most of the piece. The shape is of a pepper or piece of fruit with leaves carved around it and the stem forming the stopper. Its shape is similar to that of the Buddha’s Hand shape. It narrows towards the bottom and has rounded lobes carved into it. A band or tendril of vine is carved around the center.
