About this object
The bottle is shaped like an ovate flattened flask and has two layers of brownish agate. On the front in relief is carved a scene showing a man riding a horse or donkey. He is followed by an attendant who holds a shade over the man. They are crossing a bridge which has arched supports. The back is plain. The oval base is in silver and is carved on the sides with floral motifs and engraved on the bottom with two sprays of flowers. The ring around the neck is in silver. The stopper is in silver as well and is engraved with floral motifs. Mounted in the silver is a dome shaped piece of ivory.
