About this object
The standard set of playing cards is held in a cardboard box decorated with a ornamental design. The cards are still in the thin (rice?) paper covers and images on them are not visible. The phrases "Joker Cards," "Historical," and "Extra Fine," are printed on the exterior. Presumably, because the box advertises that they are historical playing cards, the designs somehow illustrate a Marxist view of history.
