About this object
Menu is printed in various colors and gold with traditional Russian decorative motifs. Dinner was given in 1888 in the reign of Alexander III to celebrate the Order of St. George the martyr founded by Catherine the Great in 1769. At the top is St. George slaying the dragon. Below and on the left side is the cipher of the double headed imperial black eagle. To right is actual menu in Russian.
