About this object
The Tsar Nicholas II is seen bust length, facing forward and slightly to the right, dressed in a military uniform. The portrait is within an engraved oval frame of Louis XIV style and below are laurel leaves to the right and oak leves to the left. Below this the imperial crown rests on a cushion and beneath the latter are the imperial sceptor and sword. At the bottom is a rectangular panel within is an engraved copy of Nicholas' signature in Cyrillic script, all done in the 18th century manner.
