The portrait is of a young woman shown half-length, identified as Countess Christiana. She wears her partly powdered hair high with curls over her shoulders. There is a circlet of blue flowers in her hair. She wears a veil on top of her head that falls back over her shoulders and further downwards. Her dress is a pastel green trimmed in white.It has a v-neck that is edged in a band of satin. She wears a diamond shaped pin at the intersection of the v.
