About this object
Miniature of Empress Elizabeth I (Elizaveta Petrovna) after original by Caravaque is in watercolor on ivory glued to paper and covered with bevelled glass. Frame is of small diamonds (?) and topped with a crown. On the back badge of the Order of St. Andrew First Called is ingraved and nielloed in rather crude manner. Attached through the crown finial is a piece of pale blue ribbon.
