About this object

Ivan Grigoryevich Seniavin (1801-51) was born in a family which included many famous Russian officers. He began his career in the army. Married since 1827 to Alexandra d’Hoggauer, who is also featured in the Middleton Album (52.39.36), he belonged to Alexander Pushkin’s circle.
