About this object

Design for the Fabergé firm. On thin, off white paper in black ink with pen, and wash in gray and pale yellow, cut out to silhouette and pasted to a piece of gray, heavier paper cut in an irregular shape. A pencil sketch of the handle to one side. Handle angular, decorated with abstract motifs, bowl spherical, cabochon stone at end, apparently to be executed in silver.
