About this object
This late Edwardian style dress is made of peach colored silk linen and has a high lace collar and matching jacket. The dress is decorated with silk taffeta rope cording, covered wooden buttons, crocheted cotton thread, and gold thread embroidery. The uneven hem enhances the asymmetrical quality of skirt. Sleeves of both dress and jacket are tubular in shape. The covered wood buttons and trim are elaborately repeated on the jacket. The sides of the jacket are further embellished with lattice work and hanging covered wood tassels.
