About this object
This cream and copper sleeveless evening gown combines the dropped waist of the late twenties with the asymmetrical, bias cutting of the thirties. The cream satin bodice is cut in a low V at back, where the fabric is gathered and sheered at center, closing with a series of metal hooks and fabric loops. Bodice ends in a low point at center back. The asymmetrical skirt is knee length in front, extending to a long, pointed train at back. The skirt is lined to the knee with brown organza. A flat, single bow of cream colored satin hangs from the dropped waist at back, with a long, two-toned tie.
