About this object
Lightweight child's coat in pink silk faille with shell buttons. Coat is designed in a mock double breasted style with a self fabric waist belt and fitted sleeve typical of the period. Coat has a square, turned down collar and turned up cuffs of the same pink faille over which a cotton collar and cuffs have been hand attached. These may have been an addition after the coat was purchased. The free-hanging lining is comprised of a layer of silk and a layer of cotton.
