About this object
Two panels of white velvet decorated with an Indian motif of teal velvet and white and orange beads backed in cotton hang from a 1 ¾ in. horizontal beaded belt. The belt has American Indian symbols woven into the belt in green, yellow, red, dark blue, light blue, mauve, and white on a white background. This belt may be authentic given the ordination of the characters. Suspended from the beaded belt and panels are rabbit “puffs” with sutatch that has been knotted to keep the placement of the small light color beads. The garment closes at the side with metal hooks and thread loops.
