About this object
Full length evening gown in iridescent, pale blue satin with a bright pink brocaded floral pattern. The fitted bodice is cut in a princess line with short sleeves. A wide sweetheart neckline is supported by millinery wiring along the bodice edge and boning at side back and underarm seams. A pleated drape placed at the upper edge of the bodice softens the neckline and conceals the underlying structure. The bodice ends in points at each hip on both front and back. A tubular skirt is fitted to the bodice with flat, knife-pleats, all pressed to the left. The garment has a wide grosgrain waist tape and closes at center back with a metal zipper.
