About this object

The headdress is shaped like a cylinder with a back section missing. It is stiffened with wire at the top and bottom edges and lined with white cloth which also forms a skull cap inside. The outside is embroidered in red, blue, green, yellow and black, all over in abstract designs, directly on the off-white ground and also on three large ovals and eight circles in appliqued red felt. Borders at the top and bottom are in cross stitch in red, blue, green, yellow and black.
