About this object

A white linen bed set consisting of a sheet, three large pillow cases and one small case. The major design element is of an embroidered and appliqued Davies coat of arms with the word INTEGRITAS on the banner. Running across the top and on two sides of all the set pieces is a self-appliqued and pulled work scroll and geometric "sunburst design". The top and sides of the sheet have a Binche lace cuff in an openshield design with a shaped attachment edge. At the corners of the sheet the cuff is 8 1/4 inches in depth. The lace edge varies from 5 inches to 8 inches as it runs across the top and sides. The three large pillow cases have the same design elements as the sheet, but the lace edging, which around the whole border of the case, is 3 1/2 inches in depth. The small case has lace that is 2 1/2 inches in depth. On the back opening of the large pillow cases there are 6 buttons. On the small pillow case there are four buttons.
