About this object

A white and yellow nylon flag. The flag is of double thickness and has a white background with yellow designs machine stitched with black thread. The design on one side is of the monogram MVS (for Mount Vernon Seminary) with two yellow chevrons beneath. This was Mrs. Post alma mater. The opposite side has the circle emblem MONTIS VERNONIS SIGILLUM 1875 SEMINARII. In the center of the circle are the words on a shield VINCIT SE VINCIT QUI. One side of the flag has a canvas binding with two grommets for attachment to a pole.
