About this object
Five white linen bed sheets with 12 matching pillow cases. The major design element on both the sheets and pillow cases is embroidered satin stitch triangles and overcast drawnwork. The triangles and drawnwork runs along the top border of the sheet and 34 1/2 inches on each side of the sheet. For the pillow cases these design elements run on all sides of the top of the cases. The drawnwork is isolated overcast bars in a ladder design. On the center top of the sheets and the pillow cases is the Davies crest worked in embroidery with the lions and fist in a satin stitch.
