About this object

This is a bed set consisting of a sheet, three pillow cases and and a lace edging that has been cut from a small pillow case. There is an applique band design on the pieces with faggoting. The Davies crest is at the top center and is designed in white embroidery. The lace edging on the sheet is 5 1/4 inches of Vieux Flandre bobbin made motifs with needle ground and fillings. It is straight on both edges top and sides. The pillow cases have the same type lace but it is 2 1/2 inches deep. The lace edging is 1 7/8 inches wide. The pillow cases have 6 buttons evenly spaced along the back opening of the case.
