A dresser mat of Belgium war lace. The mat backing is of pink silk and is shaped for a dresser in Mrs. Post's bedroom. The mat itself is of cream lace composed of different styles. The center of the mat is of Point de gaze needle lace with motifs of Belgium lions flanking the Belgium crest that reads "BELGIUM/1914". Above the crest is the inscription "UNION/ L' FAIT LAFORCE". In the center and below the Belgium motif is a Point de gaze rose. Surrounding the rose is Brussels bobbin lace. On either side of the center design is a panel of Valencienne bobbin lace and on either side of this are panels of Point de gaze. The edging is a scalloped picots all around.
