About this object

Two ecru and pink edgings from a slip or negligee. The design is of needle run roses and leaves on a net background with esprits sprinkled in various places on the netting. The design is continued onto the silk garment fragments onto which these edgings were attached. In some areas the design elements are appliqued to the garment and in others the garment has been purposely cut away to show the lace.
