About this object

An ecru flounce of Point de France needle lace. The overall design is of 2 alternating segments. Of the two vertical stacks, the narrower is of 2 vases of flowers in a curving discontinuous frame. The wider design is an urn under a canopy with architectural ornament. There is some appearance of looping strapwork. There is raised work throughout of both lines and curved padded parts. There are designs of flowers throughout of tulips and carnations. The ground is brides picotees. There is a needle lace border added to the cut ends.
