About this object
An ecru fine muslin handkerchief with a lace border. The border design is made of Brussels Duchesse bobbin lace with medallions of roses in needle lace on a net background. The scrollwork on the sides of the rose medallions have shamrocks in bobbin lace. A pencil written attachment on paper says "one lace edge handkerchief" below this is M.P.C. Perhaps the handkerchief she used for her wedding to Edward Close Dec. 5, 1905.
