About this object
An off white Duchesse bobbin lace Bertha collar. The design is of alternating insets of roses with raised petals worked on Point de gaze needle lace and shields filled with wheels and open wheels (8). Surrounding the insets throughout is Duchesse bobbin lace with a flower design. At the outer border the design makes a scalloped edge. The neck or inner border is worked in bobbin lace with the design of three petaled flowers with picots on the edge.
