About this object

With a shaded pink field, a large oval center panel, showing wreathed floral medallions and swags, surrounded by a shaped scrolled cartouche, which on the long ends is flanked by two smaller shaped panels in pastel colors. Also at each corner, outside of the large cartouche is a large white eagle with outspread wings confronting a snake. The remainder of the field which is not contained within a bordered panel is comprised of large leafy vine scrolls with flowers. The border at the edge contains a band of rose and tan lozenges alternating with pale blue leaves between two narrow bands of interlace and a plain band of dark red at the outermost edge.
